Purchase Survey

Alliance Marine Surveyors prides itself in performing independent, accurate, and unbiased marine surveys in Grenada and the Caribbean

Purchase Survey.

Purchase surveys are carried out when requested by a potential buyer during the purchasing process. The survey normally commences after a deposit has been paid and the buyer and other stakeholders are satisfied with the findings of the survey report.

A Purchase Survey is normally more detailed than the Insurance survey and would entail a sea trial which allows AMSC to assess the performance characteristics of the vessel. Following the survey, the prospective purchaser would be provided with a detailed report outlining all the findings and the recommendations where applicable. The information in the survey report is used to determine whether or not the purchaser and or stakeholder would proceed with the purchase.

When purchasing a vessel the buyer should always consider how expensive both maintenance and the purchase cost can be. As such, the buyer(s) should protect their interests and investments by ensuring they have all the facts associated with the vessel before completing the purchase transaction.
